I took up photography in 2010 because I needed a change of pace from my job as a management consultant, and from events in my personal life. Photography was something I could throw myself into for the sheer fun of it, because it would enable me to illustrate my books and my presentations, because it helped me get in touch with other people, and because I could use it as a testbed for the management training methods I advocate.
I get my inspiration from many different sources: From my working life, Systems and Complexity Thinking, military strategy, Science-Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, thrillers, and detective stories, from movies, other photographers, and from my friends.
In december 2013 I started a photography network, Fototräff i Göteborg (Photo Meetup in Gothenburg). the idea was to meet once in awhile, have a cup of coffee, and make photography experiments utilizing whatever we could bring, and find around us. The network started growing, I got new friends, some of them very good photographers, and I decided to try running larger, more complex photo projects. That is when the fun, and my learning curve, really took off. The time since then has been an extraordinary photographic adventure.
Of course, I try to build the network organization using my knowledge as a management consultant. In October 2015 we passed 350 members, and the projects we are undertaking are becoming quite advanced.
Our first photo comic, the time travel adventure A Rift in Time, was released as an ebook in the summer 2015. More projects are on the way.
